Overview:

An Oncology Infusion RN specializes in administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, and supportive IV treatments to cancer patients in an outpatient or infusion clinic setting. They assess patients before, during, and after infusions, monitor for adverse reactions, manage vascular access devices (such as ports and PICC lines), and collaborate closely with oncologists and care teams. This role also provides patient education, symptom management, and compassionate support throughout the cancer treatment journey.

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
