Job DetailsJob Location: SPRINGFIELD, OH 45505We are seeking Pharmacy Technicians to join our team! Rocking Horse Community Health Center (RHCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides healthcare services to some of the area’s most vulnerable populations. The organization is looking for part- or full-time Pharmacy Technicians.   This position will assist the Pharmacist(s) with prescription management and communication with prescribers regarding patient medications, assist patients over the phone and in person, responsible for confirming patient information prior to disbursing medications, and works with patients, prescribers, and other members of the healthcare team to provide beneficial pharmacy services.  Experience with med sync program is a plus.  This opportunity has a generous compensation package as a full-time employee.  As a full-time employee you will be offered Medical, Dental & Vision benefits, Company Paid Life, and LTD insurance, and the potential to earn and accrue up to 4 weeks of PTO per year along with 10 paid holidays.   RHCHC is located within walking distance of downtown Springfield, which offers a wonderful variety of locally owned & operated eateries, bakeries & coffee shops.  Springfield is centrally located between Dayton & Columbus, which offers a high quality of life, and low cost of living in Southwestern Ohio.  Clark County has excellent school systems and is home to Clark State College and Wittenberg University. Position Information: Position Title: Pharmacy Technicians Primary Service Center: Springfield, Ohio (South Limestone Location) FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt – Hourly position Work Hours: Part-time or Full-time positions available   Education Requirements:   High school diploma or (GED) is required.  Active Registered Pharmacy Technician or active Certified Pharmacy Technician license from the Ohio Board of Pharmacy is preferred.         Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology preferred.         Previous pharmacy experience is preferred.   Experience with med sync program is a plus.        Ability to work in a team environment and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and patients.        Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is required.        QualificationsQualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public. 2.    Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamental of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. 3.    Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. 4.    Computer skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Excel software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software and the ability and skills to learn other software that pertains to the job. 5.    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. An individual whom poses a direct threat to the health and safety of himself/herself or others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position. Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills are also necessary. 7.    Confidentiality: The Pharmacy Technician  is required to understand the privacy policies and procedures. Patient Health Information (PHI) is confidential, only the minimal amount of PHI necessary to accomplish the internal purpose is to be shared or released by staff. 8.    Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
