Key Responsibilities:
- Using electrocardiogram (EKG) machines to continuously track heart performance
- Analyzing EKG results to establish baselines and spot abnormalities
- Recording EKG results to keep patient information accurate
- Overseeing stress tests to assess patients’ heart function
- Delivering emergency medical care when patients suffer heart attacks or other life-threatening problems
- Overseeing and coordinating the activities of telemetry technicians and other staff in their units
- Administering medications and other treatments ordered by physicians
- Educating patients on lifestyle changes and ongoing treatments prior to discharge from the hospital
Compensation:
- Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 2+ years of current med surg/tele experience [required]
- Must have Charge experience CHARGE EXPERIENCE
- Progressive Care Unit/PCU experience strongly experience
- DRIP EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
- ICU experience strongly experience
- TRAVELER MUST BE WILLING TO FLOAT TO ANY INPATIENT UNIT WITHIN THEIR SCOPE OF PRACTICE
- Must have a MINIMUM 3 months' previous travel experience - NON-NEGOTIABLE (more is preferred)
- Small critical access facility experience [preferred]
- Must have experience with Insulin drips, emolol drips and sodium drips
- Must have and maintain current Active American Heart Association ACLS
- Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently.
