Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Protector in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for staff, visitors, and vendors while following visitor management and access control procedures.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with directional guidance, de-escalation when appropriate, and communication with site contacts and/or first responders during incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
