Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Console in Mc Lean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial property locations, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, loading areas, and other common spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Support property operations by assisting with access control, visitor directions, and routine security-related checks of doors, gates, lighting, and shared areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
