Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Annandale, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors through strong communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism in an armed patrol post.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear reports on incidents, patrol activity, and observations, and assist with de-escalation, direction, and support during high-traffic periods and/or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
