Position Details

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with at least five years of experience in personnel security, process improvement, and metrics oversight. Leadership or team lead experience is preferred to help drive effective project execution and support the organization’s goals.

Description and Responsibilities

  • This position supports Key Personnel on a Personnel Security contract in Springfield, VA.
  • Manages quality standards for Branch
    • Conducts peer reviews, and highlights opportunities for process/policy improvement based on trends
    • Conducts peer reviews to identify trends and highlights opportunities for remedial training

Training

  • Collaborates with ADJ Team Leader to identify and provide remedial training for staff members who are performing below KPIs or quality standards
  • Assists with training new hires
  • Assists with developing policy for Branch
  • Participates in the ADJ policy working group and assists client to develop policies and procedures for Branch
  • Contributes contractor-specific perspective/guidance to agency policies/procedures
  • Identifies and recommends resolutions for process gaps and bottlenecks within Branch

Special projects

  • Completes special projects as directed by the Adjudications Branch Chief or Key Personnel
  • Ability to perform fitness adjudications
  • Independently and accurately
  • Adjudicate expedite and high-priority cases that have high visibility
  • Serve as a backup for the ADJ Team Leader, as necessary
  • Case assignments
  • Reporting metrics
  • Day-to-day operations

May be required to travel on a recurring basis in order to conduct research, present findings, recommendations. Travel is expected to consist of visits throughout the United States. The frequency of travel is expected to vary, based upon mission needs, but is not anticipated to exceed 25%.

Experience

  • This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of personnel security experience.

Preferred

  • Experience within one or more of the standard securities and/or intelligence fields e.g., technical, physical, information, industrial, personnel and operational security.
  • Subject matter expertise and hands-on experience in Adjudications
  • Experience implementing complex government security programs and policies.
