Kennel Worker
About the Role
As a Kennel Assistant, you will help provide excellent care for pets staying in our hospital. This includes feeding, cleaning, walking dogs, monitoring pets for changes, and ensuring every pet is comfortable and safe. You will also help maintain cleanliness throughout the hospital and support the medical team when needed.
What You’ll Do
- Provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets Â
- Clean kennels, runs, litter boxes, and common areas Â
- Walk dogs and provide enrichment Â
- Monitor pets for changes in behavior or health Â
- Assist with restraint and basic husbandry tasks (if trained) Â
- Maintain laundry, dishes, and supply restocking Â
- Ensure pets go home clean, dry, and happy Â
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with animals preferred but not required Â
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment Â
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes Â
- Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn Â
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Â
- Availability for weekends and holidays
