Job Summary

Direct the activities of all final assembly lines and paint to achieve the quality, safety, and service goals of the company.

Principal Responsibilities 

  • Supervise the operations of the assembly and paint teams.
  • Build and update production schedules.
  • Provide reports on quality and efficiency.
  • Look for continuous improvement opportunities to the processes used on the production floor.
  • Ensure all employees are aware and following safety policies.
  • Verify the safety of all machines and processes in Assembly and Paint.
  • Direct and confer with team leaders to meet the weekly ship schedules.
  • Work with teams to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain adherence to company and agency policies.
  • Recommend and follow through the hiring and releasing of assigned production personnel as required to maintain production schedules.
  • Approve and adjust time cards and vacation of assigned employees.
  • Make additions and deletions to production schedule when needed.
  • Maintain good employee relations and take proper disciplinary actions when required.
  • Maintain records of departmental activities and achievements.
  • Maintain adherence to BOM and assembly processes.
  • Conduct all performance evaluations of assigned employees.
  • Hold regular department meetings to go over Safety, Quality, Productivity, and other issues of concern.
  • Perform other duties as required or directed.

Qualifications

Competencies

  • Good verbal and written communication, leadership, computer.
  • Training provided on-site

Education/Experience

  • Five years experience in manufacturing/supervisory setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
