Job Descriptions:

Essential Function:

Process customer invoicing on a timely basis, maintains customer accounts; and records and maintains general ledger.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Customer files.
  • Invoice customers for shipments.
  • Compare customer purchase orders to sales acknowledgement for accuracy.
  • Reconcile Intercompany and Non-Intercompany trade payables to Silfex accounts receivable.
  • Perform month end closing entries and reconciliations.
  • Process all customer payments.
  • Analyze all invoices for accuracy against shipping documents.
  • Investigate payment discrepancies and coordinate with appropriate parties to resolve.
  • Maintain the general ledger accurately.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Silfex Shipping Procedures and tracking methods.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Lam Receiving Procedures and work with Lam personnel to resolve receiving discrepancies.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to Controller to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Perform Accounts Receivable collections.
  • Complete all sales tax reporting.
  • Handle auditor requests for Accounts Receivables and maintain SOX compliance.
  • Analyze Rental/Lease agreements for Lease Accounting Application.
  • Maintain all Lease Accounting records including tracking, monthly JEs, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain Government registrations (CCR, ORCA, FSD).
  • Follow all company safety policies and report any unsafe conditions to Manufacturing Manager, EHS Manager, and/ or Director of Manufacturing
  • Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S
  • Perform tasks/duties related to special projects or assignments
  • Perform other duties as assigned by department management

  • Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S.  Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement ideas and activities.  Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area.  Maintain these areas at the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in public or private financial operations.
  • A general understanding and responsibilities of the accounts receivable cycle.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • An understanding of our current financial software.
  • Ability to handle customer and internal demands, which are sometimes stressful or time critical in a logical manner and resolve issues appropriately, professionally, and timely.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
  • Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to perform successfully under minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.  The employee will be working in hot and strenuous environments on occasion.  The noise level in the environment is moderate.
