Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one community support to an individual with developmental disabilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others build independence while participating in meaningful community activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered support during community outings.
- Assist with communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
- Encourage participation in recreational and community-based activities.
- Ensure the individual's health, safety, and well-being at all times.
- Transport the individual to and from scheduled community activities as needed.
- Complete accurate documentation and progress notes.
- Maintain professionalism and effective communication with supervisors and family members.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or related conditions is preferred.
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Dependable, patient, and committed to providing high-quality support.
Schedule
- Saturdays only
- 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
