Your Impact
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will work under physician direction to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory disorders. You’ll apply advanced clinical knowledge in adult, pediatric, and neonatal settings while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Diagnostic Evaluation
Perform pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, and other diagnostic procedures
Collect and analyze arterial blood gases and relevant laboratory data
Therapeutic Care
Administer medical gas, aerosol, and humidity therapies
Manage artificial airways and perform airway clearance techniques
Deliver invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
Provide care for vascular catheters and assist with Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS)
Patient Assessment and Monitoring
Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and interpret diagnostic results
Recommend and adjust therapies based on patient response
Perform routine rounds and document clinical progress
Disease and Case Management
Support the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory conditions
Contribute to discharge planning and provide patient and family education
Emergency and Critical Care
Respond to Rapid Response and Code Blue events
Provide respiratory support during land and air transports
Equipment and Safety
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and sterilization of respiratory equipment
Adhere to all infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
What You Bring
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program with an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care
All levels of experience welcome, from new graduates to experienced professionals
Massachusetts Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
Current CPR certification required; ACLS preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care
