The Opportunity

As a communication Director, you will take on a dynamic leadership role, guiding strategic and tactical communications and high-impact projects within the Operations Implementation Support, Readiness & Communications team. You will develop and execute communication and change management strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving engagement across all channels. As a trusted advisor to all levels of leadership and readiness field partners, you’ll shape approaches that enhance initiative adoption and elevate the field experience. This role requires strong vision, relationship-building skills, and expertise in leadership, enterprise communications and change management to support operational excellence.

The Team

The Operations Implementation Support, Readiness & Communication team is dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment where shared expertise and teamwork drive success. By harnessing our collective business and technology acumen, deep understanding of customer needs, and a commitment to achieving results together, we execute critical initiatives and prepare employees for change. This collaborative approach empowers Operations to keep advisors and customers at the center of everything we do, ensuring seamless support and continuous improvement across the organization.

You will lead the Communications team.  As the “voice” of Operations, the Communications team plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing strategic communications, content, and logistics across multiple mediums and product lines, serving high-impact clients and audiences. This team actively fosters partnerships with all levels of leadership, ensuring clarity and trust throughout all communications.

The Impact 

As Communication Director, you will support operations strategy by leading communications and initiatives that will optimize the efficiency, effectiveness and continued development of the communication consultants. Your role ensures clear messaging, smooth adoption of changes, stakeholder engagement, and enhanced operational performance for ongoing growth and improvement.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the Communications Consultants team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies for Operations, ensuring alignment with Home Office and field partners.

  • Coach leaders and associates to communicate with impact, using storytelling to convey strategic initiatives.

  • Establish and enforce communication standards and governance aligned with brand guidelines.

  • Define KPIs to measure communication effectiveness and transparency across channels.

  • Drive technology innovation, including AI tools, to enhance workflows and engagement.

  • Develop and execute change management strategies, coaching leaders to champion transformation.

  • Design communication and engagement plans that minimize resistance and drive adoption.

  • Create governance frameworks, toolkits, and training for consistent change leadership.

  • Oversee external communication governance, implementing policies and review processes to protect brand integrity.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify improvements and ensure compliance with standards.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or in lieu you must have 7+ years of work experience in a Marketing / Communications role

  • 5+ years of communications experience

  • 3+ years in a leadership role, managing people

  • 2+ years' experience leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives

  • 2+ years' experience in change management, involving planning and executing change initiatives/strategies at scale

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive narratives that align with audience, business goals.

  • Knowledge of content measurement and reporting metrics, and how to use them to ideate and fuel performance.

  • Ability to leverage generative AI for content personalization and efficiency

  • Proven experiences designing communication experiences for dispersed teams.
