The HR Consultant is responsible for facilitating the process for specified lines of business across Springfield Clinic, coordinating HR development, providing analytical and technical support, assisting in the design and implementation of HR programs and strategies that ensure an engaged workforce.

Job Relationships

Reports to the HR Manager or HR Director

Principal Responsibilities

  • Recommend changes to HR programs to better position SC in the marketplace.
  • Analyze HR processes and recommend improvements.
  • Advise and partner with SC leaders on business and staffing needs.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement HR strategies.
  • Ensure prompt and thorough communication is maintained between HR and managers.
  • Maintain a fast and efficient pace. Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
  • Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent professional-level HR experience required.
  • Previous experience in HR required.

Certifications and Licenses 

  • Human Resources related certification (PHR / SHRM-CP) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail.

Working Environment

  • Operates in a professional office environment.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
