Job Summary:
Join our compassionate and collaborative team as a Vocational Support Specialist and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities. You will play a key role in helping clients develop their skills for independence, career success, and retention in employment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a proactive approach to client support. As part of our team, you'll be instrumental in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone thrives.

As a Vocational Support Specialist, you will provide both on-site and off-site training and support for clients, guiding them through skill development, career planning, and retaining employment. Your responsibilities will include conducting instructional activities related to soft, work, and independent living skills while also collaborating with clients to create individualized service plans.

Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct soft skills and vocational training for clients to facilitate job readiness and retention.
· Develop and implement individualized service plans in collaboration with clients.
· Coordinate work-based learning experiences, including orientation and completion of necessary paperwork.
· Transport clients to support their goals in line with their individualized service plans.
· Monitor client progress and ensure compliance with service authorizations.
· Provide job site analyses and establish community-based training opportunities.
· Serve as a liaison between clients and employers, advocating for clients' needs in the workplace.
· Educate employers on the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and facilitate necessary job accommodations.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· A high school diploma or equivalent certificate is required; an associate’s or bachelor's degree in an applicable field from an accredited institution is preferred.
· Experience in rehabilitation, employment services, case management, social services, or other applicable experience is preferred.

Additional Qualifications:
· Successful completion of a background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.
· Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance are required.
· Completion of New Hire Orientation and annual Relias training is required.

Physical Requirements:
· ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
· Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
