As an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist, you’ll partner with families of infants and toddlers (birth–3) to support developmental growth during the most critical years of life. Through home visits, community-based services, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll help children build the skills they need to thrive.Â

What You’ll DoÂ
Deliver family-centered servicesÂ
-
Provide home and community-based visits using developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed strategiesÂ
-
Support children in fully participating in inclusive community settings with typical peersÂ
-
Conduct telehealth sessions as neededÂ
Lead IFSP coordination and progress monitoringÂ
-
Partner with families to develop, implement, and update Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)Â
-
Coordinate services and supports identified in the IFSPÂ
-
Monitor functional outcomes and complete six-month reviews and required documentationÂ
-
Assist with transition planning at least six months prior to discharge, including referrals and participation in IEP meetings when applicableÂ
Collaborate and advocateÂ
-
Serve as a liaison between families, ancillary providers, and school systemsÂ
-
Participate in multidisciplinary assessments and team meetingsÂ
-
Ensure services and communication are culturally and linguistically responsiveÂ
Maintain compliance and documentationÂ
-
Complete session notes and required paperwork within established timelinesÂ
-
Maintain accurate records for assigned childrenÂ
-
Follow DPH and organizational standards for documentation, confidentiality, and trainingÂ

What You’ll BringÂ
RequiredÂ

Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or related fieldÂ
-
Minimum of four approved 3-credit courses focused on infants and toddlersÂ
-
At least 300 hours of practicum or work experience with children under age threeÂ
PreferredÂ

Bilingual skillsÂ
-
Experience in home-based or community-based early intervention servicesÂ
-
Knowledge of IFSP development and transition planningÂ
