Job DetailsJob Location: Springfield, MA 01119Position Type: FacultyEducation Level: Doctoral DegreeSalary Range: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 SalaryThe Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Western New England University seeks applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position for the 2026-2027 academic year, with potential for longer-term renewal or transition to a tenure-track position.  Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in 1) Transportation Engineering, 2) Architectural Engineering, or 3) a closely related field. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in Civil Engineering (4 courses per semester or 24 credits per year), provide service to the department and college, and advise students.  Western New England University has a vibrant undergraduate Civil and Environmental engineering program that emphasizes industrially relevant research and design, as well as an active Master of Science program. The CEE program prides itself on delivering high-quality engineering education while providing strong mentorship to students. The CEE department maintains strong relationships with regional and national industries and corporations. The position is scheduled to start in August 2026.
