Shipping and Material Handler

Description

Position Summary

Receives incoming materials and kits, stages materials for production, and packages and ships finished products.

Responsibilities

· Unload incoming trucks and verify receipts.

· Move kits into staging and production areas.

· Package finished goods for shipment.

· Prepare shipping documentation.

· Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.

· Maintain shipping, receiving and staging areas.

Requirements

· Demonstrated organizational ability and ability to work effectively under deadlines and with multiple agendas

· Experience in a manufacturing environment, and work with an ERP system preferred

· Ability to operate various material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).

· Computer skills including familiarity with Office

· Ability to work, and communicate across various departments

· Ability to receive and retain instructional information

· Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly

· Maintain all safety standards and guidelines at all times.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform the duties required for material handling, including the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, bend, or work in various positions throughout the shift.
