The Client Service Coordinator (CSC) plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and welcoming experience for clients and their pets. This role supports the veterinary medical team by managing client flow, enhancing productivity, and delivering excellent service. The CSC builds client loyalty by fostering a friendly and professional atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and referrals. Our CSCs ensure good communication with associates and clients, and coordinate the care of clients and pets in a happy, welcoming, friendly and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities include embodying and promoting the Five Principles of Mars, Inc.: Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency, and Freedom; greeting clients and pets warmly; guiding the flow of clients and pets to maximize team productivity and client satisfaction; promoting hospital services and wellness plans; educating clients on preventative care, hospital offerings, and Optimum Wellness Plans (OWPs); assisting with check-in and check-out processes; handling financial transactions; performing administrative duties; and delivering consistently professional, efficient, and empathetic service. Core competencies include leadership qualities, customer focus, peer collaboration, integrity & trust, action-oriented, active listening, communication skills, prioritization and time management, client service excellence, and knowledge of preventative care and wellness plans. Required capabilities include multitasking, communication, organization, problem solving, customer service, cognitive ability, math proficiency, technical skills, initiative, integrity, teamwork, adaptability, self-reliance, and stress management. Working conditions involve sitting at a computer for extended periods, comfort around animals, potential for over 40 hours/week, physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs, dexterity, visual acuity, and exposure to animal bites/scratches, anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medications. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, minimum age of 18, at least one year of related experience preferred, and veterinary, medical, or pharmaceutical background is a plus.
