The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Enterprise Services (ES) Communications team:
The Senior Manager of ES Business Solutions Communications, part of the matrixed Enterprise Services Communications team, is a strategic and experienced communications leader responsible for executive and change communications. This highly visible role shapes communications strategy and priorities, develops executive messaging, leads change communications across a broad portfolio of initiatives, and supports functional and enterprise‑wide transformation efforts.
ES Business Solutions plays a critical role in driving operational excellence while enabling major enterprise initiatives. The breadth of change this group leads and supports varies significantly—from organizational updates and operational improvements to large‑scale, enterprise‑wide transformations. Because of this range and complexity, the role requires a seasoned communications leader who can operate confidently at both the executive and program levels, navigating scale, nuance, and cross‑functional integration with clarity and impact.
This is a hybrid role preferably based in Farmington, CT; Charlotte, NC or Arlington, VA.
What You Will Do:
- Complex program and project support
- Provide communications leadership for nuanced, multi-layered projects requiring detailed coordination and structured messaging
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align communications with system changes, policy updates, and process transformation
- Lead communications support for large-scale initiatives such as the evaluation and revision of templated system-generated notifications and automated communications across platforms
- Change communications leadership
- Lead change communications strategy for initiatives within ES Business Solutions, including organizational updates, operational improvements, and functional transformations
- Support enterprise-wide initiatives where ES Business Solutions plays a key enabling role, tailoring communications to stakeholder groups
- Develop structured change communications plans, messaging frameworks, and cascade strategies
- Executive communications
- Serve as the primary communications partner to the Vice President of ES Business Solutions
- Develop executive messaging, leadership flow down, and strategic communications
- Provide counsel on messaging strategy, stakeholder positioning, and narrative alignment
- Enterprise integration
- Ensure ES Business Solutions communications align with Enterprise Services brand guidelines and broader enterprise priorities
- Collaborate with communications leads across Enterprise Services, Digital Technology, and other functions to ensure consistent messaging and sequencing
What You Will Learn:

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead communications for operational change and enterprise‑scale transformation initiatives, navigating systems, operational, and process‑driven complexity
- Strong project management and leadership skills, including organization, attention to detail, and the ability to influence, collaborate, and manage multiple high‑visibility initiatives simultaneously
- Proven expertise in crafting and executing written, oral, and digital communications—particularly in highly digital, service-driven, virtual, or global engineering/manufacturing environments—ideally within aerospace or related industries
- Demonstrated success developing and delivering employee communication strategies with measurable outcomes, leveraging digital platforms, metrics, and analytics to optimize impact
- Executive communications capabilities with strong writing and editing skills and a consistent focus on delivering high‑quality work
- Ability to build strong relationships, partner with senior leaders, work cross‑functionally, and translate complex ideas into clear, concise messaging
- Skilled at working in fast‑paced environments, meeting tight deadlines, and driving continuous improvement through feedback and analytics
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Master’s degree in communications or related field
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Poppulo, and other communication tools

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
