JOB SUMMARY:
The parts person is responsible for receiving parts, accurately maintaining and inventory parts, labeling parts, pricing, restocking and retrieving parts on storage cells and bins, courteous customer assistance in over-the-counter sales, telephone contact and loading of merchandise into customer’s vehicles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Working knowledge preferred in agricultural equipment. However, company will train the right person.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Verify all received shipments by checking the order against packing list. Any shortages in areas should be documented and reported to parts   manager.
2. Stock all incoming parts and place in correct bin or shelf location.
3. Immediate notification to customers of special ordered parts.
4. Maintain stock displays and special promotional displays in an order and attractive manner.
6. Perform general housekeeping duties in the stockroom and customer areas.
7. Prepare and submit warranty claims for batteries or defective parts.
8. Fill out and maintain all sales forms, order forms and other documents associated with the sale of parts accurately and completely.
9. Promptly service requests for parts from the service department.
10. Use all procedures outlined in the parts administration manual and/or parts manual.
11. Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Must read and understand written material, including parts books, updates, manual, order forms and all documents associated with sales.
2. Must communicate clearly and courteously with customers face-to-face and by telephone.
3. Must read and understand information presented in numerical form sufficient to conduct inventory control, pricing and verification of order shipments.
4. Must safely move parts, supplies and equipment to and from their appropriate storage area in the stockroom. This includes stocking and retrieving parts, supplies and equipment from shelves ranging from floor level to 8 feet in height with the aid of stepladder. Material moved may weigh up to 51 lbs.
5. Must assist customers in safely moving parts, supplies and equipment from the store to their vehicles in the exterior parking lot. This may include loading equipment into customer’s vehicles requiring movement of up to 36” off the floor. Material moved may weigh up to 51 lbs.
6. Must be able to work independently, frequently without direct supervision.
7. Must be able to use basic hand tools to open crates such as Exacto blades, paper cutters and box knives.
8. Must be able to drive forklift and truck for unloading and loading incoming and outgoing equipment.
CONDITIONS AFFECTING WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The parts person may be subject to:
1. Shop noise.
2. Outdoor weather conditions to retrieve merchandise for short durations.
3. Occasional fumes and odors from gas, paint and exhaust.
