FMM is a maintenance and construction company servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide. We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and solutions-oriented Human Resources Manager to join our growing organization. This leadership position oversees a team of two HR professionals and is responsible for payroll processing, employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and strategic HR initiatives that support our continued growth. Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading daily HR operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, fostering employee engagement, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and company policies. This role supervises a team of two HR professionals and works closely with department leaders to support business objectives.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Included but not limited to) 
  • Manage and develop a team of two HR team members.
  • Process and oversee multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Oversee proper administration of employee onboarding, offboarding, personnel records, and leave.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Benefits administration for all company provided employee benefits. 
  • Provide courteous and timely support to company employees, vendors, and professional associates.
  • Partner with management to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace issues.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support recruiting and talent acquisition efforts for field and office positions.
  • Maintain HRIS and employee data integrity.
  • Oversee employee training, development, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and solutions-focused culture throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
  • Degree in Human Resources, Administration, or similar field
  • Minimum professional certification level of SHRM-CP or PHR required
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience required.
  • Multi-state and multi-entity payroll processing experience required.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and payroll administration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.
  • Experience in construction, maintenance services, professional services, or related industries is preferred.
