Senior Representative, Technician (Goalshare)

This role in summary

Whirlpool is looking for qualified candidates for the role of Senior Representative, Technician for the Dishwashing laboratories. This is an onsite role 5 days at our St. Joseph Tech Center in MI.

As a Senior Representative Technician, the individual is expected to perform testing for wash and dry performance of dishwashers,  taking care of day-to-day lab activities, data analysis and report preparation. Sr Representative Technician will report directly to the Lab Supervisor.

Your responsibilities will include

• Prepare Dishwasher Test loads daily following appropriate test procedures including application of food soils on dishware. 
• Provide product and component testing, analysis, and problem solving while developing and applying a strong understanding of appliance operations and lab procedures.
• Interpreting and summarizing test results in written documentation
• Take a role in developing, executing, and documenting new test procedures, gathering knowledge through test results and applying that information to analyze problems for root cause.
• Prioritize and balance multiple tasks in a fast paced lab environment.
• Consistently make process improvements through continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Provides support and assistance to team members to ensure shared success.
• Verbal and written communication with cross functional teams to share observations and test results.

Minimum requirements

• High School Diploma or GED 
• 1+ years of experience using product laboratory equipment such as basic tools, ovens, countertop mixers and grinders, measuring (rulers or electronic scales) or databases

Preferred skills and experiences

• Associate Degree-Technology, Technical field, or Culinary Food Science OR  2+ years experience in a lab setting
• Previous knowledge and work with applicable appliances
• Ability to accurately follow detailed instructions, record data accurately, and communicate results with recommendations
• Ability to use basic technical equipment and instrumentation 
• Continuous Improvement and 5S mindset
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Outstanding people skills with the ability to be a positive team player
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Excel
