Are you a Surgical Technologist, Medical Investigator, Critical Care Professional, Organ Procurement Technician, or Healthcare Supervisor ready to take the next step in your career?

 As a Tissue Recovery Regional Supervisor, you'll lead a team of Recovery Technicians responsible for ocular tissue recovery operations across the St. Louis and Springfield regions. This role combines hands-on recovery work, team leadership, quality oversight, and operational management while supporting a mission that helps restore sight through donation.

What You'll Do

  • Lead & Develop the Team Coach, mentor, and support Recovery Technicians while fostering a positive, mission-driven culture.
  • Oversee Daily Operations Manage staffing, scheduling, coverage, and operational support across multiple locations.
  • Perform Recovery Procedures Conduct ocular tissue recoveries, donor evaluations, documentation, and related clinical activities.
  • Ensure Quality & Compliance Maintain compliance with EBAA, FDA, HIPAA, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support Hiring & Training Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, competency development, and performance management.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Partner with leadership to improve processes, enhance team performance, and maintain operational excellence

The Work Environment

This position operates across a variety of healthcare and tissue procurement settings including: 

  • Hospital morgues and healthcare facilities
  • Medical examiner offices and autopsy facilities
  • Funeral homes and mortuaries
  • Office environments throughout the service region

This role supports teams in both St. Louis and Springfield, IL and requires regular travel between locations. Supervisors also participate in a shared on-call schedule, typically covering 1-2 shifts per week. 

We're Looking for Someone Who Has:

  • Experience in surgical services, healthcare, tissue donation, forensic science, mortuary services, veterinary medicine, or related fields.
  • Experience working in on-call, critical care, emergency response, transplant, recovery, or other time-sensitive environments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to adapt, prioritize, and lead in fast-paced situations.
  • Leadership, training, coaching, or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • A commitment to excellence and passion for our mission.
