Baptist Health is hiring a Medical Assistant in our Neurology department for our Silverleaf office located in Saint Johns, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM.
The ideal candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting the provider. Must be a team player.
Medical Assistant, Job Responsibilities:
- Provides medical assistance to physicians
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
Experience Requirements:
- 2+ years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
Education & Credential Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
