Job Description

Responsible for assembling various documents and/or customer provided materials into completed kits

2nd shift

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-assembly duties such as; prepping boxes, stocking assembly area, gathering materials, and organizing work area
  • Follow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work, collating materials as necessary 
  • Pick and package a variety of printed materials or related items that require a variety of packing procedures and techniques.  
  • Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping in accordance with customer specifications 
  • Count and sort inventory as required 
  • May prepare shipments of customer samples.
  • Train others in new processes and lean methodologies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior warehouse or kitting experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
  • Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
  • Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
  • Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee. 
  • Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
  • Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Must be willing to flex schedule to meet the needs of production, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed.
  • Must be able to use a ladder to pick items or to retrieve boxes or materials.
  • Must be able to stand and move about the facility
  • Must be able to bend, reach and turn frequently
  • Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 60 pounds frequently

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $15.65 to $20.20 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include [a sign-on bonus of $X,XXX], overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
