Geo-Logic Associates (GLA) is a privately-held, multidisciplinary, geologic, geotechnical, hydrogeologic, civil, and environmental consulting firm. Our highly experienced professionals manage projects through 34 US office locations and an office in Peru. GLA is currently seeking a full-time Environmental Technician to provide support for civil/site infrastructure, solid waste, and environmental remediation projects.

Office Location: St. Charles, Illinois

The Environmental Technician will provide field monitoring and sampling services to support regulatory compliance, environmental remediation, and litigation support projects. This work will include:

Collecting groundwater, surface water, soil, and landfill leachate and gas samples
Preparing sample Chain-of-Custody documents
Coordinating sample delivery to analytical laboratories
Assisting with maintaining groundwater monitoring well sampling systems
Assisting with the operations and maintenance of landfill leachate treatment and groundwater corrective action systems
Daily travel to work sites (local and remote)
Interaction with team members, clients, and the general public.

Required Qualifications

Be eligible to work in the United States
Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer
Experience in environmental sampling
Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering, environmental studies, or a related field.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour annual HAZWOPER training
Groundwater sampling training
