Estimator

Summarizes requirements of Requests for Quotation and reviews with Estimating Manager, Vice President or other delegate. Full-time, hourly, day-shift position.

Responsibilities:    

• Read customer requests for quote and set up proposals to meet customer requirements
• Review customer prints, parts lists, CAD models and other engineering documentation
• Prepare of Bills of Material for quote    
• Work internally with various groups to develop estimates of manufacturing costs
• Obtain supplier quotes for material, hardware, processing, subcontract, and shipping  
• Review and analyze historical costs of produced parts for basis of estimates
• Maintain an organized system for working on multiple quotes at the same time  
• Work within ERP system to search and review data, as well as input information into the system Summarize all information into standard format  
• Prepare files and review with Estimating Manager and Vice President
• Submit proposals on-time to customers per customer format requirements
• Provide superior, prompt customer support  
• Serve as customer liaison during quoting, work with Estimating Manager to answer customer requests
• Assist in reviewing and approving customer purchase orders and change orders
• Support internal functions in reviewing purchase orders, implementing new orders and re-orders

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree, equivalent experience, or Certifications. Engineering or strong math aptitude preferred
• Skilled in using Excel, familiar with CAD software, metal fabrication experience a plus
• 3-5 Years’ experience in Estimating
• 3-5 Years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing
• Applicant must be a U.S. Person
