First State Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist onsite at our West Clay location. If you have related experience in mortgage accounting and servicing, then you may be a great fit! 

40 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist will perform all duties required of a Servicing Specialist by following policies and procedures set forth by First State Bank, including, but not limited to:

  • Reconciles multiple GL and DDA accounts on a daily and monthly basis. 
  • Accurately follows procedures to balance loan funding’s after loans close. 
  • Books loans either to Fiserv or the file is transferred to sub-servicer.
  • Stacks, ships, and files loan in the vault as necessary.
  • Accurately prepares and processes all tickets and third party checks that are necessary to balance a new loan origination.
  • Services all HELOCs and Held for Sale loans.
  • Assists customers with questions relating to existing loans serviced by sub-servicer.
  • Administers the tickler system for new loan documents follow-up.
  • Processes disbursements, payments, and releases.
  • Maintains escrow accounts through review, disbursing, and set up
  • Processes daily loan payments as necessary and send to sub-servicer or new investor when applicable.
  • Processes monthly MERS reconciliation and research discrepancies. 
  • Makes collection calls on HELOCS.
  • Complete all required compliance training and complies with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Act as well as all regulations which apply within the scope of the position.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university preferred. 
  • One to two years related experience and/or training required. 
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training preferred. 
  • One to two years of math/accounting experience preferred.
