Position Overview:
The Regional Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory (Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico) by maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and identifying new business opportunities. This role manages a diverse customer base and supports both new and existing product lines, ensuring customer needs are met with responsive, solution-oriented service.
This position requires a proactive, self-directed individual who can effectively manage a large geographic territory, balance multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced sales environment. The Regional Account Manager collaborates with internal teams to support the full sales cycle, from lead generation through order fulfillment, while maintaining accurate account data and market insights.
Success in this role depends on strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to analyze customer needs and market trends, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The position may require frequent travel and flexibility to meet customer demands, along with a strong focus on time management and territory planning.
Essential Duties: (Additional duties may be assigned as required.)
- Manage and grow sales within an assigned territory by supporting existing customers and developing new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships to support business objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and actively manage sales leads through the full sales cycle.
- Plan and organize daily activities to maximize efficiency and sales results.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support quoting, order processing, and customer follow-up.
- Analyze customer and sales data to identify growth opportunities and track performance.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and account reviews to promote products and services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in CRM systems, including call schedules and account activity.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for territory growth and account development.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Support customer needs with flexibility, including occasional non-standard hours as required.
- Coordinate logistics or product-related activities as needed to support customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market conditions, customer trends, and competitive activity to inform sales strategy.
- Maintain a consistent call schedule to ensure effective territory coverage.
- Travel as required to support customer engagement and business development.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to analyze and manage sales data using digital tools such as Power BI. Experience with quoting systems or sales management platforms preferred.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Minimum of 2+ years of sales experience preferred;
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technical sales environments preferred,
- Experience working with OEMs, distributors or end users is a plus.
Language Ability:
Ability to read , analyze and interpret general business information and technical documents. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, vendors, clients, and internal teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Math Ability:
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as percentages, ratios and margins. Ability to analyze sales data and interpret trends to support decision-making.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and manage complex sales situations. Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and customer needs.
