LO-Direct Support Professional

Overview:

Here at ABiLITY, becoming a Direct Support Professional (LO-DSP) in our Life Ops Day Program allows you to be part of a team in a fun, long-lasting, and rewarding career—they act as a connection between people with developmental disabilities and their communities.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age at the time of application
• Experience working with individuals with developmental, cognitive, or intellectual disabilities is preferred, but not required.
• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or be enrolled in a general equivalency program at time of application
• Valid driver's license, with four years of personal driving experience 
• Valid state minimum auto insurance
• Willing to operate an agency vehicle to transport individuals for community outings/routes
• Must be able to pass DOT physical

Certifications (if do not possess, must be willing to obtain)

• Class E Chauffeur License
• Level One Medication Aide (L1MA)
• First Aid/CPR/AED
• Crisis Prevention
• DOT Physical Certification

Availability:

• Day availability – Life Opportunities program runs M-F 8am-3pm, some flexibility, no weekends
• Union, MO, Washington, MO, driving multiple locations in Franklin County, MO
• Additional requirement to support AM and PM transportation routes to/from services

Pay Breakdown:

• $20.00 per hour

Status:

• Full time (30 plus)
