What You’ll Do

Essential Duties:

· Serves as a subject matter expert in nursing practice, provides support and guidance to nursing to ensure completion of daily responsibilities and smooth shift operations.

· Ensures adherence to all nursing policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and safety protocols during assigned shifts.

· Supports site leadership in Joint Commission and state regulatory readiness efforts, including completion of audits, surveys, accreditation reviews, and regulatory inspections.

· Manages assignments for shift-based coverage and escalates coverage issues to nursing leadership.

· Assists with new hire onboarding, including mentorship of newly hired nurses and med cert training.

· Supports nursing leadership in providing education for nursing staff.

· Coordinates ordering and replenishment of medical supplies, stock medications, and other nursing resources to ensure uninterrupted operations.

· Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in alignment with scope of practice.

· Evaluates client medical concerns during on site hours and communicates findings promptly to the appropriate NP/MD for further direction.

· Administers scheduled medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with medication administration protocols.

· Maintains accurate and timely Medication Administration Records (MARs) in paper or electronic systems.

· Monitors medication administration practices and collaborates with Behavioral Health Specialists (BHSs) to support safe medication management and address concerns.

· Orders medication refills in a timely manner and ensures proper medication destruction in accordance with DEA and organizational protocols.

· Performs phlebotomy and related laboratory tasks as needed.

· Provides input for nursing performance evaluations based on observed practice and shift specific responsibilities.

· Supports nursing leadership by conducting informal check-ins with nursing staff, offering

constructive, non-disciplinary coaching, and contributing feedback for annual reviews.

· Collaborates with nursing leadership to support departmental goals, workflow optimization, and consistent nursing practices across all facilities.

· Participates in ongoing quality improvement efforts and contributes to a positive, collaborative team culture.

· Performs other duties as assigned to support safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.


What Makes You a Great Fit

Education and Experience Requirements:

· Licensed Registered Nurse in state where services are provided.

· A minimum of five years’ experience in nursing preferred.

· Experience in mental health and/or substance abuse is required.

Pay range for this position is $37 to $53 depending on education and experience.
