About the role
Zion HealthShare is a rapidly growing 501(c)(3) healthshare organization serving more than 76,000 members with over $140M in annual member contributions. The organization is transitioning its complete technology estate to direct internal ownership. The Chief Information Officer builds and leads that function: applications, infrastructure, security, data, vendor management, the organization's AI strategy and governance, and the technology team and budget. This is a build role reporting to the President, with regular visibility to the Board of Directors and its technology oversight function.

- Oversee technology vendors, contracts, system integrations, and third-party service providers.
- Establish and improve IT processes, including onboarding, offboarding, help desk operations, access management, and service standards.
- Ensure business continuity through backup, disaster recovery, and data governance strategies.
- Drive the organization's AI strategy by identifying opportunities to improve member experience, operational efficiency, and business processes while maintaining appropriate governance.
- Build, mentor, and lead the internal technology team while managing departmental budgets and technology roadmaps.
- Provide strategic technology leadership to executive leadership and the Board by reporting on initiatives, risks, security, compliance, and organizational readiness
