About the role


The Head of Creative leads all branding, design, and creative output for Zion HealthShare. This role owns the visual identity of the organization and is responsible for maintaining quality and consistency across all visual asset the company produces including graphic design, video, sales collateral, and digital content. The Head of Creative both sets creative direction and rolls up their sleeves to produce work, while supervising and developing a Multimedia Designer and building the creative function as it grows.


What you'll do

  • Lead and evolve Zion HealthShare's brand identity, ensuring a consistent visual experience across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Establish and maintain brand standards, serving as the final reviewer for creative assets and ensuring brand consistency.
  • Develop compelling visual concepts and creative campaigns that support marketing initiatives and business objectives.
  • Oversee the creation of digital and print materials, including graphics, video, presentations, web content, social media, email, advertising, and event collateral.
  • Direct multimedia projects from concept through production, including video, photography, motion graphics, and design.
  • Manage creative vendors, freelancers, and production partners to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Supervise and mentor the Multimedia Designer, providing creative leadership, coaching, and professional development.
  • Manage creative project workflows, priorities, timelines, and quality standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and improve creative processes, asset management, and standard operating procedures to support an efficient creative function.
  • Oversee branded merchandise, promotional products, and the company swag store while supporting the continued growth of the creative team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional creative and design experience, including time at a senior or lead level.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating range across branding, graphic design, video, and marketing collateral (required with application).
  • Proven ability to lead creative projects end to end and to direct, mentor, or manage other designers.
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects); familiarity with other common design tools.
  • Hands-on experience producing video content — from concept and filming through editing and motion graphics.
  • Strong eye for typography, layout, color, and visual storytelling, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and project-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to both set creative direction and take it, and to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Comfortable working onsite in St. George, Utah, and collaborating in a fast-paced, in-house creative environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience or other certification will be considered.
  • Committed to continuous growth through workshops, seminars, and/or industry conferences.
  • Experience producing podcast or audio content is a plus, including recording, editing, and audio post-production.
