Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities: Receive, process, and prepare prescription orders for pharmacist verification. Accurately count, package, label, and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision. Process prescription refills and maintain accurate patient records. Assist customers by answering general pharmacy questions, processing prescription pickups, and directing clinical questions to the pharmacist. Process insurance claims, resolve billing issues, and collect payments. Maintain medication inventory by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and ordering supplies. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations, including proper handling of controlled substances. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy work environment. Operate pharmacy software, automated dispensing equipment, and other pharmacy technology. Communicate effectively with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and patients to support quality patient care. Protect patient confidentiality and maintain accurate documentation. Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations. Â Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
