JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Project Architect is responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and execution of architectural projects from conceptual design through construction administration. The ideal candidate would work under minimal supervision to carry out the necessary design + documentation of various multifamily product lines, such as townhomes, stacked flats, and condo type buildings. Applicant must be passionate about multifamily residential design, up to date with current trends, and be able to adapt to new building styles and types. Experience with community amenity design and construction methods desired. 

This is a highly creative position, and the ideal candidate should be detail oriented, understand residential and commercial construction methods, and be able solve complex problems. They must be able to work well in a team environment and work with outside consultants and regulatory agencies.

This is a full-time in-office position.

DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):

  • Conduct precedent research on similar product types as the project brief.
  • Develop architectural concepts and design solutions for multifamily residential projects.
  • Prepare layouts, drawings, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design concepts. 
  • Explore current trends in multifamily housing.
  • Conduct product research and make materials and systems recommendations. 
  • Work closely with the VP of Design to meet project deliverables and deadlines.


EXPERIENCE

  • Highly Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, and Bluebeam.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and Enscape.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience designing residential and commercial projects.
  • Licensed Architect (desired but not required) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Understanding of multifamily construction and detailing. 
  • Extensive knowledge of the IBC and local (Utah) regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings of all disciplines.
  • Excellent communication, team building, and resource management skills are a must.
