Job Summary

The Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides compassionate care to youth by supporting their physical, emotional, and behavioral needs while fostering a safe, structured, and positive living environment.

  • Day Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
  • Evening Shift (Sunday–Wednesday):
    • Sunday: 8:30 AM–10:30 PM
    • Monday: 2:30 PM–10:30 PM
    • Tuesday: 2:30 PM–10:30 PM
    • Wednesday: 11:00 AM–10:30 PM
  • Evening Shift (Wednesday–Saturday):
    • Wednesday: 11:00 AM–10:30 PM
    • Thursday: 2:30 PM–10:30 PM
    • Friday: 2:30 PM–10:30 PM
    • Saturday: 8:30 AM–10:30 PM
  • Overnight Shift (Sunday–Wednesday): Sunday–Wednesday | 10:30 PM–8:30 AM
  • Overnight Shift (Wednesday–Saturday): Wednesday–Saturday | 10:30 PM–8:30 AM
  • Weekend Shift:
    • Friday: 2:30 PM–10:30 PM
    • Saturday: 8:30 AM–10:30 PM
    • Sunday: 8:30 AM–10:30 PM


Responsibilities

Provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients by:

  • Providing meals and snacks
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Monitoring medication
  • Intervening in crisis situations

Facilitate a healthy group living experience by:

  • Creating a positive and supportive environment
  • Managing conflict
  • Enforcing house rules

Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team by:

  • Attending treatment team meetings
  • Providing input on treatment plans
  • Implementing treatment plans

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Class E driver's license with a good driving record
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email

Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required.
