Landscape Crew Member

Description

Smith Lawnscapes LLC, a family-oriented landscape construction and maintenance company, is seeking a dependable Landscape Crew Member to join our dedicated team.  

Key Responsibilities:

•  Assist Crew Leaders with landscape installations
• Operate various hand tools and equipment, power tools, and equipment
•  Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance of equipment 
•  Plant and maintain lawns, landscape beds, trees, and plants 
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
• Follow company quality standards and all safety procedures
• Help keep jobsites clean, organized, and professional

Qualifications:

•  1+ year of landscaping or general labor experience preferred 
•  Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record 
• Capable of operating the required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
•  Able to work independently and as part of a crew 
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., bend, kneel, and perform physical labor
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions 
• Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills

 Working Conditions:

Fast paced environment, outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold.  Some weekends may be required.
