Job DetailsJob Location: St Johnsbury, VT 05819Salary Range: $25.00 - $25.00 HourlyChildren’s Mental Health Program As Assigned | Orleans, Essex & Caledonia Counties Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is seeking compassionate and dependable Respite Providers to support children and families involved in our Children’s Mental Health Program. This role plays a vital part in helping children build emotional and social skills while offering families much-needed support and flexibility. What You’ll Do Provide one-to-one support to children experiencing serious emotional challenges, under the guidance of a case manager and in partnership with families Create a safe, structured, and engaging environment that supports emotional growth and social skill development Respond to behavioral and emotional challenges using positive, non-punitive approaches that encourage learning and resilience Maintain consistency and reliability in scheduling whenever possible Provide transportation using a safe, inspected, and appropriately insured personal vehicle Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and other service providers Complete required documentation in accordance with state, federal, and NKHS guidelines What We’re Looking For High School Diploma required Experience working one-on-one with children with emotional or behavioral challenges preferred Ability to work independently while following established plans and guidance Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and automobile liability insurance ($100,000/$300,000) SALARY & BENEFITS $25.00 per hour Education reimbursements and loan repayment program.
