Job Summary
TheClassroom Aide at St. Louis Catholic Academy supports teachers in providing a safe, engaging, and faith-centered learning environment for students. This position assists with classroom instruction, student supervision, and daily classroom operations while promoting the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of all students in accordance with the mission and values of Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction and learning activities.
- Provide individual and small-group support to students as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Help maintain a positive, organized, and productive learning environment.
- Support classroom management and encourage respectful student behavior.
- Prepare instructional materials, classroom resources, and supplies.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned duties.
- Assist with monitoring student progress and reinforcing learning objectives.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Uphold the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church and St. Louis Catholic Academy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or related setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Patient, dependable, and committed to supporting student success.
- Commitment to fostering a faith-based educational environment.
