Job DetailsJob Location: Missouri History Museum - St. Louis, MO 63112Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $16.50 - $17.00 HourlyPosition Summary: The Housekeeper is responsible for daily assigned housekeeping duties at all MHS sites, to include lease and rented spaces.  Housekeepers are tasked with ensuring the overall look of the facility inside and outside is well-kept and maintained.   Duties Include: Cleaning restrooms Disinfecting public areas of the buildings Stripping, waxing and buffing floors Ensuring that all spaces are cleaned routinely and trash removed daily Following assigned area cleaning guides and assisting others when short-staffed Visiting off-site locations to clean restrooms and replenish supplies Completing work orders as they are received Delivering needed items throughout the building Assisting with set-up for programs and special events Other duties as assigned  QualificationsEducation and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (to include work history) 3-5 years of housekeeping experience Must have the ability to obtain driver's license to operate company vehicles Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Characteristics: Knowledge of correct and safe use of housekeeping chemicals, supplies, and equipment Must maintain a professional attitude and represent the organization in a professional manner Ability to follow directions and effectively perform duties during periods of time with little or no supervision Must have some computer skills and operate mobile devices such as a tablet or iPad Must be able to lift 60 pounds Ability to use floor and carpet scrubbing machines, buffers, vacuums Ability to climb ladders to perform housekeeping duties
