Position SummaryÂ
The ISO Transportation Manager is responsible for all transportation related activities of an ISO Depot, including promoting business growth and customer satisfaction.Â
Â
Duties and Responsibilities: Â
Supervise Driver Managers including ensuring accurate and efficient dispatching and load planning.Â
Develop positive relationships with customers including coordinating activities, resolving issues, and soliciting work.Â
Monitor and train staff for consistent and efficient processes including proper dispatching.  Â
Coordinate as needed with yard, shop, and wash leadership to ensure timely and efficient execution of activities to meet customer needs.Â
Ensure chassis and tractors are kept current with servicing and inspections.   Â
Recruiting, hiring, termination of drivers and terminal staff.Â
Manage dispatch to identify resource needs and training and development needs are metÂ
Enforce and practice all safety rules of the Company and all government agencies, including but not limited to DOT and OSHAÂ
Ensure both internal and external customers are treated with courtesy, discretion, and sound judgementÂ
Communicate with Sales department where appropriate including potential new customer opportunities.Â

Job RequirementsÂ
Education and Experience:Â Â
High school diploma or GED requiredÂ
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience Â
Staff supervision experienceÂ
Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulationsÂ
Experience managing a location of similar scopeÂ
Willingness to work a flexible scheduleÂ
Â

Ability to read, write and speak English proficientlyÂ
Physical Demands:
Must be able to enter shop and tank wash environments (with proper safety gear) as needed to facilitate communications with those functionsÂ
Must be able to walk around the terminal facilities to facilitate security inspections and communicate with drivers or other visitors as neededÂ
Long periods of sitting in front of a computer screen may be requiredÂ
Occasionally required to stand, reach, bend and lift up to 25 pounds Â
Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe mannerÂ

The position typically operates in a standard office environment.Â
This position routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers.Â
