Role Purpose

Responsible for the oversite of all technical functions for Specimen Collection and Processing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervises laboratory activities to ensure that procedures are performed promptly, accurately, and precisely according to department and hospital policies and procedures.
  • May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Ensures Compliance with the Regulatory Guidelines. 
  • BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

    Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience

  • Supervisor Experience

  • Associate's Degree

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
