Under general supervision, perform beginning level engineering work in the operation and maintenance of a major wastewater treatment plant or pump stations.
Essential Functions:
- Provide technical assistance in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, modernization and protection of physical facilities and equipment in a pump station
- Assist in prioritizing major system modifications within overall District Capital Improvement plan
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering activities such as contractual engineering services, facility modifications, equipment selection, procurement and construction
- Prepare specification and plans for engineering contracts, purchases of equipment and services
- Use & maintain data in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for equipment and buildings at a pump station facilities
- Maintain records and prepare reports
- Perform reliability engineering and root cause failure analysis as directed
- Perform process optimization and efficiency analysis for utilities, chemical usages, pumping systems, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual O&M budget
Additional Responsibilities: Performs related work as required or as delegated by supervisor.
