Interested applicants must be available during the 12-week program (May 24th ā Aug. 13th, 2027). This is a full-time internship (40-hours per week) based at our St. Paul, Minnesota on the Securian campus.
The Field Communications Intern will assist the Sales Enablement & Operations Department with a wide range of projects related to producing internal communications for our sales and service representatives (the āFieldā), managing a library of marketing and training content for them, tracking their usage of the various communication methods, and providing support to other internal team members on projects. In this position, you will obtain a better understanding of an internal communications role and gain hands-on experience with supporting a sales and service team.
Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesĀ Ā
CommunicationsĀ
Create the weekly eNewsletter and publish to the FieldĀ Ā
Collaborate with marketing, product managers, and other content contributors to edit and refine articles for the weekly eNewsletterĀ
Write educational articles for weekly eNewsletterĀ
Create educational materials to be housed on the sales enablement platformĀ
Review and check for consistency across the sales enablement platform (e.g., links, pages, document naming, brand standards)Ā
Assist with other communication projectsĀ

Tracking & Analytics:Ā
Update tracking spreadsheet for managing review of documents and pages on the sales enablement platformĀ
Track readership of the weekly eNewsletterĀ

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA)Ā
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a rising Junior or Senior, pursuing a degree in Communications or a related fieldĀ
Strong interpersonal communication skillsĀ
Strong decision making and organizational skills requiredĀ
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailĀ
Familiarity with Microsoft office products, with ability to learn internal systemsĀ
Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple support functionsĀ
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environmentĀ
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with othersĀ
Proven track record of dependability and reliabilityĀ
Ability to acknowledge and respect confidential informationĀ
Experience with email marketing and content management preferredĀ
