Metro Transit Safety Ambassador Program – Downtown Saint Paul. Metro Transit operates numerous bus stops throughout downtown Saint Paul, in addition, to three primary light rail platforms: Central Station, Union Depot, and 10th & Cedar Station. These high-traffic transit locations serve as critical access points for residents, commuters, and visitors navigating the downtown corridor.
Â
The Metro Transit Safety Ambassador Program is a proactive initiative designed to enhance the overall safety, cleanliness, and customer experience within these transit environments. Ambassadors are strategically assigned to one of the three platforms, where they maintain a consistent and visible presence throughout their shift.
While on duty, Ambassadors conduct ongoing assessments of their assigned platform. This includes identifying and addressing concerns such as litter, vandalism, graffiti, and any violations of the established rider code of conduct. Through diligent observation and timely reporting, Ambassadors play a key role in preserving the integrity and functionality of these public spaces.
Ambassadors serve as the face of the transit system, delivering professional, courteous, and approachable customer service. By offering directions, assistance, and positive interactions, they foster a welcoming atmosphere that enhances public confidence and promotes respectful use of the transit system.
Â
