COMPENSATION: $56,118.40- $61,297.60 annually, commensurate with experience
STATUS & HOURS:Â Full-time, regular position (approximately 2080 annual hours).Â

DESCRIPTION:  The Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) seeks a Production Graphic Designer to ensure the consistent, efficient, and high-quality production of the Minnesota Historical Society's visual identity across all platforms, including advertising, print materials, signage, and digital media. The role is responsible for executing established design directions, preparing press-ready and digital-ready files, managing visual assets, enforcing brand standards, and maintaining efficient production workflows within the Creative Services team.Â
SUMMARY OF WORK:Â 1) Execute design of visual materials (including digital and print ads, brochures, flyers, posters, reports, etc.) consistent with program objectives and brand guidelines. 2) Coordinate with internal and external partners to maintain efficient workflows. 3) Source and maintain approved visual assets for use on multiple platforms. 4) Provide quality assurance and organization of brand assets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus two years of experience, or equivalent.Â
Proven design production experience.Â
Proven experience with layout design and photo editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Experience designing both print and digitally formatted deliverables.
Working knowledge of digital and print file formats, which tools to use, and when to work with them.
DEMONSTRATED SKILLS IN OR KNOWLEDGE OF:
Ability to organize simultaneous projects and meet deadlines while managing creative ideals.
Working knowledge and experience with Google Workspace.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Â
Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with high work standards and tight deadlines.
Must be self-motivated and be able to work with others as a team.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven design and desktop publishing experience in a variety of print formats, from brochures to large-format.
Experience with a variety of design processes and methodologies.
Experience with video and motion graphics.
Design experience in an agency setting (e.g., ad/marketing/PR) or internal marketing department.
Familiarity with digital asset management.
Familiarity with digital encoding and file compression.
Experience in copywriting and editing.
Familiarity with project management software (Trello, Asana, Teamwork, Basecamp, etc.).
