Type of Projects:
Facilities Design at industrial plants such as lighting systems, power distribution systems, classified areas, clean rooms, equipment installations, labs, offices, building construction, restrooms, remodels, and upgrades.
NOTE: This position focuses on building facilities design — NOT product development or machine design. Must have experience with facilities design.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical systems align with project goals.
- Develop and review electrical engineering documents, specifications, and plans.
- Design and oversee the implementation of complex power distribution systems and lighting systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate projects efficiently, balancing delegation and hands-on work.
- Collaborate with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Communicate project status and technical information to stakeholders.
- Coordinate ARC Flash Studies and collaborate with external engineering subcontractors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
- Professional Engineer License, preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering for commercial or industrial building construction design projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership abilities with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and dedication to meeting project deadlines.
Schedule: Mon-Friday, Days, time and a half after 40 hours (optional).
Compensation:
- $60 to $90 per hour depending on qualifications.
