SUMMARY Â
BLUvera is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the construction products manufacturing and fabrication process engineering department. This role is responsible for leading process improvements in plant operations, developing and implementing manufacturing processes, and providing hands-on maintenance and engineering support.Â

Reporting directly to the Engineering or Operations Manager, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will ensure plant objectives in safety, quality, customer service, and cost are met through efficient and effective operations. The ideal candidate will have a combination of previous hands-on and design experience in equipment maintenance, process, and product design.Â

RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Leads engineering process improvement of plant operations, collaborating with safety, quality, and environmental teamsÂ
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing processes; documents changesÂ
Implements process control techniques and proceduresÂ
Analyzes manufacturing process flow for improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and costÂ
Collaborates with plant team on product tooling and design for effective production methodsÂ
Designs and develops manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products with zero defects and low production costÂ
Provides hands-on maintenance and engineering support to troubleshoot technical issuesÂ
Identifies, documents, and completes preventative maintenance tasksÂ
Works with production department to develop and implement technical training for team membersÂ
Creates and maintains documentation of tool drawings and design conceptsÂ
Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and production equipmentÂ
Utilizes lean methodologies and tools to achieve plant goalsÂ
Builds relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsÂ
Performs all other duties as assignedÂ
Â
QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Bachelor's degree in EngineeringÂ
10+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience in process engineering/maintenance with emphasis on continuous process improvementÂ
Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, process improvement, and product designÂ
Understanding of construction scopes (framing, electrical, exterior finishes, interior finishes)Â
Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent root cause analysis skillsÂ
Proven problem-solving and organizational skillsÂ
Experience leading continuous improvement and change management activitiesÂ
Experience with AutoCADÂ
Familiarity with electrical systems and UL complianceÂ
Proven Lean manufacturing experienceÂ
Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteÂ
Active listening skills and effective communication; openness to diverse input and feedbackÂ

The base pay range for this role is $103,200 - $154,800. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
