What's in it for you:
Join Trane Commercial’s Engineering team in La Crosse, WI as a Smart Service - Field Modification Specialist, where you will play a key role in ensuring HVAC service product offerings are accurately configured and available to support sales and manufacturing. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering, product data, and cross-functional collaboration, with direct impact on field modifications and operational efficiency.

In this role, you will partner with engineering, sales, and supply chain teams to maintain and improve product structures, field modification and related data systems. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex configuration challenges, improving processes, and contributing to high-quality product data that supports the business.

What you will do:

  • Validate and maintain system data in Trane Sales Assist (sales tool) for accuracy and completeness.

  • Load and maintain nameplate rules in DMC to ensure accurate product labeling and documentation.

  • Set up Field Modification kits, ensuring required components and instructions are complete and accurate.

  • Process Salesforce tickets to support sales and engineering needs, including updating Windchill BOMs, setting up new parts, and configuring FMF kits.

  • Manage Compressor K001 configuration and ordering activities to support timely and accurate fulfillment.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to validate and update configuration data as business and engineering requirements evolve.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related issues for internal customers and external partners.

What you will bring:

  • Associate degree in engineering, business, data management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and 5-7 years of experience.

  • Experience with commercial HVAC products in the field or in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Windchill, and related ERP/PLM systems.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across functions, both collaboratively and independently.

$72,928.33 - $116,700.00
